How to enter
There are 10 categories to choose from and you can enter multiple categories if applicable, but you must complete a separate submission for each category.
Please read through the category descriptions below, select the category you wish to enter from the list, then click ENTER NOW . You'll need to register and set up your account the first time you do this.
Registering your account
When registering, you will receive an email which will have a click-through link and a validation code to validate your account. You will need to complete this step before you can start your nomination. If you do not receive the validation email please email email@example.com .
Completing your entry
You can save draft entries and return to edit them as often as you wish before submitting. All you need to do is click on the YOUR ACCOUNT tab on the menu banner and this will take you through to your dashboard where you will find all your draft entries and submitted entries.
When you have finished writing your entry and you are ready to submit, you'll need to agree to the terms and conditions then click the COMPLETE button at the bottom of the page. If your entry is still in draft, you will need to click MOVE TO BASKET at the top of the entry before you can click the COMPLETE button.
If you forget your password, please use the reset password link on the login page.
IMPORTANT INFO - PLEASE READ:
- Maximum word counts are shown below the entry box for each question.
- Sponsoring companies are not permitted to enter the category they are sponsoring.
- Entries can be submitted from schools themselves or staff, governors, parents, students or people in the community.
- Successful nominations will be notified following the judging session in May.
Arts & Performance Award
This is an award for all the creative people of Merseyside. We are looking for talented groups or individuals who can dance, sing, act and who deserve to be recognised for their commitment to the arts. You could be part of a dance group, a local amateur dramatic organisation or have an instalment in a gallery.
Charity Organisation of the Year
Have you experienced the care and support of a local charity? Are you involved in a charity organisation who supports people from Merseyside in their hour of need? For this award we are looking to recognise charity organisations who make a real difference to the lives of people from our region.
Any entries by or on behalf of a charity should have a registered charity number.
Child of Courage Award
Do you know a youngster, aged 16 or under, shown outstanding bravery and courage, which may range from a single heroic act through to battling against disability, illness or adversity. This child may have fought against illness or shown bravery beyond their years, he or she may have had to endure heartache or pain but still showed a shining spirit and is an example for others to follow. Tell us about someone who makes you want to burst with pride!
Community Event of the Year
This is your chance to shout about your favourite event in Merseyside. This may be a regular event that you never miss or a one off event that was enjoyed by the whole community. If you organise or are involved with an event that brings the community together, gain extra recognition through this award.
Community Group Award
For this award we are looking for a group effort. People who come together for the greater good of the community. It could be a sports project, a support group or your local after school club. For this award we are looking for energetic, focused groups of people who come together in aid of the community.
Echo Outstanding Achievement Award
The winner of Echo Outstanding Achievement Award will be selected by our panel of judges and will be a person who has shown an outstanding contribution to Merseyside by significantly enhancing the region's reputation. If you would like to make a suggestion to the panel, please tell us about your heroes of Merseyside. (NO ENTRIES)
Fundraiser of the Year
For this award judges will be looking for groups or individuals who have commitment to long term fundraising. They must have a tireless drive and energy, always creating new ways to raise funds for charities or community groups.
Outstanding Act of Bravery
Do you know someone who has used their initiative in a crisis, tackled criminals or even saved a life? This award is to honour a person who has demonstrated outstanding bravery, whether it be a member of the public or emergency services.
Sporting Achievement Award
This award is for an individual or team who has shown dedication, commitment and enthusiasm for sport. They could be anyone from your swimming coach to a football team who are your inspiration. For this award we are looking for the sporting pride of Merseyside who give 100% energy at whatever level they compete or coach in.
Young Personality of the Year
Do you know a special young person who deserves to be recognised? If you have a friend or family member who has shown bravery and courage, carried out a heroic act, achieved success against all odds or dedicated themselves to a good cause, nominate them for this award.
